So what the fuck guys... what was that all about? Sad to see such a great site implode like that. We don't want to see anything like that happen here. I think one of his issues was that he took on too much. He wanted to do it all which burnt him out but also made it all about him and not the members. Sims are important but the community comes first. We are all friends here so everyone gets to be heard. In this league if anyone doesn't like something we will talk about it and most times put it to a vote. No egos and no censorship, If you wanna call me an asshole, then do it... lol. We will create a shit talking thread for just that. We don't want to clutter or highjack threads but if dudes wanna duke it out, we'll have a thread for that. Let's face it Joubran and kruze will chop it up and i for one look forward to it  I also want to clear the air that i have zero ill will towards Jagrbombs aka Admin aka Minny at hockleague. Frankly the dude is a beast...potential through the roof! He built one hell of a league...it's really too bad that he took the path he did. His unwillingness to listen to advise and his lack of loyalty to to his longtime supporters was his downfall. There was no need for things to go the way they did. I really hope he sleeps it off and makes things right. It's still very doable. The original point I was getting at is tossing around the idea of multiple dudes running this site. An Admin, a PR and a simmer that are all different people. Also I'm hoping for multiple simmers. Basically anyone with a console and NHL21 could sim. It would make things interesting and we should be able to get lots of sims because the simmer wont burn out...and if real life comes calling another dude can step up. What do you guys think? |

I tried helping the guy multiple times and got threatened with a boot for doing so. I respect what he was able to create but at the end of the day the community is what makes the league and ruining the community ruins the league.
Also, fuck you for putting me in the same tier as Kruze.

What an absolute joke. I've never seen such an attention-seeking play. The events were elementary enough, but to delete the site with all the work... what a child. I hope he gets the help he needs, but it sure as shit won't be from me anymore.
I can't even see the discord anymore, was he in control of that and deleted it? Like how big of an asshat do you truly need to be. The unfortunate thing is I somewhat saw something occurring eventually, but not this magnitude nor this quickly. He might eventually pop his head around since it's probably difficult to dedicate 80% of your life to something then just immediately stop, but I don't think I've been this frustrated and disappointed in anyone here.

cranker8989 ya flames gm gave him ownership and he deleted the discord. I started a new one so we didn’t lose all the new guys but I didn’t get them all invited in time. Still think there’s like 6 or 7 I was able to get the invite too. The admin if he was that upset should have just banned snagg myself and Joubran or whoever he thought. But I think the final nail was we all had Kruze’s back and then Kruze sent him a dm on twitter and he lost it lol This is the discord discord.gg/AtXP2A

I feel like we just got broken up with, but we got out of a bad relationship that were stuck in because of desperation.
To be frank, if there was another league or two that was running like that one was I don't believe it would have lasted as long as it did with how he treated a lot of people.

Plus for some reason he thought he could get the league full which he couldn’t and before I started recruiting we had like 15 guys or less that have been the core of these leagues for 10-15 years. And then he banned Kruze so I stopped recruiting lol. I don’t really know the guy just always thought it was weird he did everything and always won the lottery draft lol. He did seem like a decent guy just I think he took too much on

He was awesome for a long time. I remember when the league first started it really struggled. I could see right away that he had killer potential so I messaged him with some pointers and mentored him for a bit. He did the things I suggested and sure enough the league flourished. Then as time went on he got more and more power hungry and stubborn. Started deleting several comments made by people. Simple shit too. But if he didn't like the comment, it was gone. Weird shit!
If he didn't lose site of the fact that sims are about the members he would have been awesome but at the end of the day he just cared about himself and what he wanted was all that mattered. It really is too bad. What a waste of an awesome simmer.

I had no clue he was going to shut it down, nor was that any intent of mine either. I'll admit I was still a little pissed for being banned from there, yes... No argument there. I still had no idea he was going to shut it down. The only thing that I ever actually rubbed in his face, was me hearing the 2nd hand info from Snaggs that Greg was doing the whole #freekruze thing, and that it actually had traction with some others. That's it. If that's what you're meaning, fine... I can accept that, but I never wanted, or expected, him to shut it down, nor did I have any clue Greg was doing that til Snaggs told me. It's just that the way you're coming across, right now, is like it was some "master plan", and that's not the case. |
